Nicorette Microtab

...

Active ingredient

Each tablet contains nicotine-betacyclodextrin corresponding to 2mg of nicotine.

Product description

Nicorette Microtab helps you to give up smoking by reducing the urge to smoke, as well as alleviating some of the unpleasant withdrawal symptoms that smokers can experience when they stop smoking. Nicorette Microtab contains nicotine in the form of a small white sublingual tablet. This means that it is a tablet that is placed under your tongue. The nicotine is released from the tablet and is gradually absorbed through the lining of the mouth in to your body. This provides the smoker with a controlled way to satisfy the body's craving for nicotine.

Nicorette Microtabs are available in packets of 100 sublingual tablets.

Dosage

The dose is individual and depends on how much nicotine you need to reduce the withdrawal symptoms. Initially you should use one tablet every one to two hours. Most people use 8 to 12 tablets per day. If you are a highly dependent smoker or require more than the standard initial dosage, you should take two tablets every one to two hours. You should use no more than 40 tablets per day.

It is important that you take Nicorette Microtab for long enough to help overcome your dependence on cigarettes. Typically this would be for a three month period. As your craving for smoking decreases, start reducing the nicotine dose by decreasing the total number of sublingual tablets used per day. Stop using the tablets when you are down to one or two sublingual tablets per day.
